Living History

In just a few short weeks there will be a historical Presidential election. The race is between Senator John McCain and Illinois Senator Barak Obama.

I grew up in a small town in Illinois where a historical debate was held between two Senators. One a small heavy man named Douglas and a very tall awkward man named Lincoln.

Lincoln was a first year congress man in Illinois much like Obama. They both worked for the common people. Lincoln took office during turbulent times. The country was splitting. Lincoln was the President that pulled it back together

Our country is again splitting. We are at a time of economic disaster. We are fighting two wars. The middle Americans are loosing homes, jobs are outsourced and health care out of reach for many. Americans want to work, they want to have a home for their families and they want to be able to take care of them. We need a man like Obama. He understands the plight of the average Americans

Please get out and vote.
